This is The Nag platform, people helping people and making their world a better place. There’s lots of stuff in here, stuff you can see, do, and read about. It’s a bunch of people getting things off their chest and coming up with ideas that then get turned into actions that anyone can do.
Jump straight in and submit your content if you like, or just have a browse at what other people have been saying. You’ll need to register to contribute your thoughts.
Have a look to see if someone has had a similar problem/idea as you. You may find somebody has already found a solution. If not just post your stuff and we’ll email you when people respond.
Why not have a look and see if there’s anything you fancy doing? Even if you don’t maybe one of your friends would, or maybe they could help? Why not invite them to become part of it? Once you’ve done something it’s always good to hear about it, so tell us the story of what you did.
Here’s where it all starts. From the homepage click ‘Get it off your chest’ and put up your thoughts, add your thoughts to other’s through suggestions, or if you’re in the mood to just get going, do something! You should find everything you need on this page to help you navigate through the site. Register first so you can add your own content and please feel free to tell us how to make the site better through feedback. It’s your site too.
Our own magnificent seven, the site’s most active naggers are constantly displayed on the homepage for all to see to showcase their outstanding dedication! Underneath that you’ll find the most recent activity on the site in a ticker stream. Click on them to see what the latest naggers have to say.
If your name’s not down you can’t come in. This is where you register to get your thoughts out and start nagging. We’ve tried to make signing up as painless as possible and get you nagging as fast as we can.
In case my mum’s using the site, we put this little helpful tip in. Enter your email address and password and click the ‘Sign In’ button. Easy peasy.
Click on the link and follow the instructions to re-set your password. Don’t worry, it happens to us all.
This is where you can upload your avatar picture and change your personal details if you need to.
Once you’ve entered your thoughts, helped someone else out with a suggestion, or decided to do something, you can keep track of it all in the handy ‘My Content’ section. You can simply filter the specific content you wish to check and monitor all your nagging activity.
Nobody likes receiving emails they haven’t asked for. Click the boxes here and control how The Nag informs you about activity on the site.
Here’s where you get things off your chest. Choose a rant about something that has made you a cross, an idea for something brilliant, or a wish for something to change no matter how big or small. We’ve made it easy for you with a rich text editor and you can post a link to the rest of the interweb or scroll to the bottom and attach a file to help explain your point. Then click the big pink button and submit the thought to the crowd.
Here you’ll find the latest and most popular thoughts on The Nag. Search through them and find something that appeals to you and add your suggestion to make it better.
Here’s where the crowd power starts. Once you find a thought that you like, add to it to help make it happen or improve the thinking through adding your own suggestion.
To enable a thought to turn into an action there may be a few suggestions to the original thought. In this case follow the thread of comments and make your own and if you’re ready to turn it into an action click the ‘Create an Action’ button.
Click the ‘Follow’ button if you like the thought and you’ll be notified by email whenever it’s updated through the crowd’s activity.
We all have pals that are brilliant at stuff. When you come across a thought and you know ‘a man/woman who can’ use this simple button to invite them onto The Nag so they can impart their wisdom.
You might come across a thought that you don’t have a suggestion for, but you still want to make a comment about it. Click on the comment tab and have your say.
It’s action time! After following a thought and the crowd’s suggestions it’s time to turn it into an action. Once the button is clicked you come through to a nice dialogue box where you put in your title and details about what you’re going to do. By clicking on the symbols above, you can check on the original thought and the suggestion leading to your action. Once submitted other people can adopt this and you get to tell the story of what you did.
You might not be in the mood to think, just in the mood to do. Come straight to the actions page, see what people are doing and get stuck in.
Once you’ve identified an action you’ve decided to do, simply click ‘I’ll do it’. You also have the option at this stage of following the action or inviting someone who you think would be perfect for it.
From this page you can click the symbol above to see the initial thought or click the blue ‘Thought’ button to follow the thread.
Once you’ve clicked ‘I’ll do it’ you then have to go and do it! So the button will change to ‘I’ve done it’. Once you’ve done the action we’d love to hear about it and if you click ‘I’ve done it’ you get the opppurtunity to tell the crowd what you did and write a story about it.
The Nag is a crowd powered site and belongs to the community as much as it does to The Nag team. We’d love to make it better and we’d like your thought on how you think we could do that.
